Module 1: A Guide to Nutrition and Health in Older People
- Needs for a Well-Balanced Diet
Introduces the course and explains what older adults generally need to maintain a balanced, nutritionally adequate diet.
- Components of a Diet
Covers fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals, and fluids—what they are and common dietary sources.
- Appetite and Exercise
Shows how to make meals more appealing for older people and discusses the benefits of gentle exercise on health and appetite.
Obtaining your certificate
You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
