We begin by defining essential terms related to equality and diversity, building a foundation for understanding key principles. This unit also explores the characteristics of an inclusive workplace and explains the legal responsibilities of both employers and employees.
- Unacceptable Behaviour in the Workplace
This unit examines various forms of unacceptable behaviour, helping you to identify and address inappropriate actions. It also explores strategies to challenge and prevent such behaviours to maintain a positive and respectful work environment.
- The Protected Characteristics
Here we take an in-depth look at the nine protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. You’ll learn about behaviours to avoid and understand the specific duties and responsibilities associated with each characteristic.
- Practical Action
In this final unit, we outline five practical steps you and your organisation can take to create an equitable and diverse workplace. The unit also explores allyship, positive action, and the wide-ranging benefits of equality and diversity for everyone.
