  • Principles of Fire and the Fire Triangle

    We begin by introducing the concept of the fire triangle, which explains the three elements required for a fire to start and sustain. The unit also covers the different types of fire extinguishers and how each is suited to specific classes of fire.

  • Risks and Hazards of Fire

    This unit explores the common causes of fire and the various hazards and risks associated with it. You’ll learn how fire can spread and the importance of identifying and mitigating potential fire risks.

  • Safety in the Workplace

    Here, we focus on how to maintain fire safety in the workplace by understanding the different risks associated with different environments. The unit also explains the duties and responsibilities of a fire warden.

  • The Fire Risk Assessment

    This unit outlines the process of conducting a fire risk assessment, including identifying hazards, evaluating risks, and implementing control measures to ensure workplace safety.

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedures

    In the final unit, we cover emergency evacuation procedures, including what to do during a fire drill or real evacuation, your responsibilities during an emergency, and how to contact and assist emergency services.

Obtaining your certificate

You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
