This unit provides an introduction to the Intermediate Microsoft Word course, outlining the course structure and explaining how the following units cover the key content and features of Word.
- Illustrations
We begin with an exploration of illustrations in Microsoft Word, including SmartArt, charts, and the screenshot function. This unit also demonstrates how to insert, edit, and make effective use of these visual elements.
- Links, Symbols & Comments
This unit covers the use of links, symbols, and comments within Word documents. You’ll learn how to insert and manage these elements, use the track changes feature, and understand the benefits of including hyperlinks and annotations.
- Language & Styles
Here we explore the dictionary, thesaurus, and translation tools in Word, as well as how to set the proofing language. You’ll also learn about text and document styles to ensure professional and consistent formatting.
- References & Document Editing
In the final unit, we look at references and document editing, including how to add footnotes, tables of contents, sources, and bibliographies. We also explain how to restrict editing options to control document access and changes.
Obtaining your certificate
You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
