Overview
This course provides an overview of Lockout/tagout (LOTO) - the safety practices and procedures that ensure dangerous machines are properly shut off during service, repair or maintenance. We'll also describe the key benefits of LOTO for the workforce, management and companies. We'll explain the LOTO standards and examine the roles of managers, supervisors, outside contractors, and all employees. Finally, you'll be introduced to the practicalities of LOTO, including tools and written procedures, before we walk you through a step-by-step exploration of a typical LOTO situation.
