Overview
This course gives the learner a basic understanding of the regulations that have come to be known as REACH. That is, the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemicals.

REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. It came into force on 1st June 2007 and replaced a number of European Directives and Regulations with a single system.
REACH applies to substances manufactured or imported into the EU in quantities of 1 tonne or more per year. Generally, it applies to all individual chemical substances.
This course is designed to give the learner an awareness of REACH that will enable them to assess their own and their organisation’s responsibilities with regard to protecting human health and the environment.
Candidates will undertake an online multiple-choice assessment and will receive a certificate if successful (any certificates from an official awarding body are sent to you via email).

Module 1: REACH
- Course Introduction & the Purpose of REACH
Introduces the regulations known as REACH—Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals—and provides a basic understanding of their scope and intent.
Obtaining your certificate
You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
