Module 1: Working at Height: A Guide to Keeping Safe
- Introduction

- What the Law Says About Working at Height
This section briefly covers the Act and Regulations that underpin working at height and outlines the duties and responsibilities of employers and employees.
- Main Hazards Associated with Working at Height
This section covers the main hazards that are associated with working at height.
- Equipment for Working at Height
In this section, we discuss various types of equipment that can be used to assist when working at height. We also emphasise that all equipment provided must be suitable for the job and regularly inspected by a competent person to ensure it remains safe to use.
- Assessing the Risks of Working at Height
In this section, we cover the ‘hierarchy of controls’ for managing risks when working at height and explain the purpose and methodology for assessing the risks involved in such activities.
Obtaining your certificate
You will need to pass a multiple-choice exam at the end of the course in order to gain your accreditation. Once passed, we will send your official certificate by email.
