Training is delivered through demonstrations, practice and realistic scenarios so learners can build confidence in CPR, recognising cardiac arrest and using an AED. The course is suitable for healthcare professionals, workplace first aiders, volunteers and anyone who may need to respond to a life-threatening emergency. On completion, delegates receive a certificate valid for 1 year, showing they have been trained in BLS and AED use.

Obtaining your certificate

On successful completion of the course and assessments, delegates receive a Level 2 Basic Life Support & Safe Use of an AED certificate, valid for 1 year.

Assessment

Assessment is through practical observation of CPR and AED skills plus a short multiple-choice knowledge check.
